Hi, I’m Fabian Durand. I’m 20 years old and live in Wuppertal, Germany.

I started sewing in 2023 and took a sewing course where I was surrounded by middle-aged women. It was awkward at first, but that’s where I discovered my passion for creating clothing.

In late 2024, I launched my own clothing brand. It was originally called "Teufelskreis", but in September 2026, I renamed it Durand.

At first, I was against naming a clothing brand after my own name. I told myself it should be about the clothes, not about me. But after a few years of experience, I realized it’s actually the other way around. The clothes are an extension of who I am, regardless of the design. That’s why I try to be as authentic as possible in everything I create.

I handmake every piece in my parents’ basement. Over the years, I’ve built a studio that I’m really proud of, although having a big studio of my own is definitely a goal for the future.

I’ll always do my best to make every garment the highest quality possible. Sewing can be annoying though, so I hope you’ll forgive the occasional tiny imperfection, every piece is made by hand.

I don’t really expect anyone to read the About section, but if you made it this far, I hope you have a better idea of what this brand is about.
